Infocast is looking for a data engineer to help optimize, expand, test, and maintain the data pipeline architecture across all of our databases and for our upcoming products. You will be working closely with our software engineers and data scientist to understand and implement database requirements, troubleshoot issues, and improve data reliability and quality. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding (both theoretical and practical) of machine learning techniques, and be comfortable to build data systems from the ground up. In this role, you are expected to be highly analytical and possess critical thinking skills.

*Create, expand, and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture that supports the business requirement

*Conceptualize, implement, and redesign infrastructure to improve scalability and better data extraction and analyzation

*Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining and production

*Recommend ways to improve data reliability and quality

*Prepare raw data to be examined and organized by the data scientist

*Keep up with industry standards and new technology advancement to improve your own work outputs

*Ability to communicate clearly in Mandarin and English both verbal and written

*Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, Analytics, or related IT field. Master’s degree in a relevant field is advantageous and preferred

*Strong understanding in software development techniques, both procedural and non-procedural language

*Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets

*Strong proficiency in Python and/or Java

*Strong proficiency in Relational database (PostgreSQL)

*Experience with Jira and Git

*Basic knowledge of machine learning libraries and models, Deep Learning subjects, and Natural Language Processing subjects
